Thanks to City Paper readers
and editors!
We got Best Local Beer and Best Upscale
Bar from the readers and Best Local
Bottled Beer and Best First-date Bar
from the editors in the 2009 City
Paper Best of issue. Many thanks!

Uh...we're #1?
As of April 20, we were ranked as the
number one bar in America by Esquire
Magazine
. Crazy.

It seems the readers of Baltimore
magazine
feel the same way...
(We got best bar in the
2009 Reader's Poll)

Keepin' it local!
David Newman, our Executive Chef,
has sourced some amazing produce from
some great local suppliers: Springfield Farm,
a family owned operation in Sparks,
MD and the Tuscarora Organic Growers
Cooperative
, based in Hustontown, PA.
We couldn't be happier with the quality of
their harvest. We have also started using
locally raised shrimp from Marvesta Shrimp
Farms
, which are simply incredible.

Two more NY Times mentions
and a tip of the hat from
the Washington Post
!
Nice to get some out of town recognition.

The french fry controversy:
Folks, our fries have never been
cooked in duck fat, no matter what
the City Paper said in their "Best of
Baltimore"
issue. They are cooked
in canola oil. Vegetarians, rest
assured! (and we do appreciate the
kudos
in spite of their error)

Thanks!
to Imbibe, a new magazine about drink, for
naming us one of the 100 best places to
have a beer in the US.

Thanks!
to All About Beer magazine for
naming us one of the 125 places to
have a beer before you die. It's an
international list, and we are humbly
grateful for the mention. See the article
here.

Thanks! Esquire named us
one of the best bars in the US!
Page
104 of the June 2007 issue, the only
Maryland bar, or look here. We are, of course, stoked.

Thanks! The New York
Times
tipped its hat to us as well. Check
it out here.

Three Mondays...
Each month, we will feature a new
artist from the area. We will change
artists on the first Monday of every
month. The events start at 6 PM.
Call for the current and upcoming artists.

Our beers are out there! Look for
Resurrection, Ozzy and others
throughout Maryland.

We are sorry to say that we had to remove our
brands from the Philly market due to extremely
high demand here in the Central MD area. Thanks
and apologies to our loyal Philly drinkers.

Cheers to all!
